Dear valued Speech to Note users,
We’re excited to announce some significant changes to our subscription plans.
These updates are designed to simplify our offerings and provide more value to our users based on their specific needs.
In this blog post, we’ll dive deep into the changes, compare the old and new plans, and help you understand which option might be best for you.
Overview of Changes
Our recent survey revealed that many users found our previous “longer audio credits” system confusing. In response, we’ve redesigned our plans to be more straightforward and user-friendly. The key changes include:
Removal of the “longer audio credits” concept
Introduction of unlimited in-app recording for Pro and ProPlus users
New upload limits for external audio files
Comparing Old and New Plans
To help you understand the differences between our Early Adopters plans and the new plans, we’ve created this comparison table:
Detailed Breakdown of Changes
In-app Recording
One of the most exciting changes is the introduction of unlimited in-app recording for both Pro and ProPlus users. This means:
Pro users can record an unlimited number of 15-minute sessions
ProPlus users can record an unlimited number of 60-minute sessions
This change is particularly beneficial for users who frequently record their own thoughts, ideas, or in-person meetings using the Speech to Note application.
External Audio Uploads
While we’ve removed the longer audio credits system, we’ve introduced new limits for uploading external audio files:
Pro users: 100 minutes of upload credits per month
ProPlus users: 300 minutes of upload credits per month
This change affects users who frequently upload external audio files, such as podcasts or downloaded content, for transcription and summarization.
Who Benefits from the New Plans?
Heavy In-app Recorders: If you primarily use Speech to Note for recording your own thoughts, ideas, or meetings, the new plans offer unlimited recording within the app. This is a significant improvement over the previous system that deducted from your longer audio credits.
Occasional External Uploaders: If you only occasionally upload external audio files and mainly use the in-app recording feature, the new plans will likely provide more value.
Who Should Stick with the Early Adopters Plan?
Frequent External Uploaders: If you regularly upload large external audio files (over 15 minutes) for transcription and summarization, the Early Adopters plan may still be more beneficial due to its more generous upload allowance.
Transitioning to the New Plans
For our Early Adopters:
We’ll be adding a link in the billing section of your account within the next 2-3 weeks.
This link will allow you to seamlessly transition to the new plan if you choose to do so.
If you prefer to stay on your current Early Adopters plan, you can do so – we’ll continue to honor your existing terms.
Why We’re Making These Changes
Simplification: The “longer audio credits” system was confusing for many users, especially new ones. These changes simplify our offering and make it easier to understand.
User Feedback: We’ve based these changes on the survey results and feedback from our users.
Sustainability: These changes help ensure the long-term sustainability and profitability of Speech to Note, allowing us to continue improving our service.
Conclusion
We believe these changes will benefit the majority of our users while simplifying our offerings. We understand that some users may prefer their current plans, which is why we’re giving Early Adopters the choice to switch or stay.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support. If you have any questions or need assistance deciding which plan is best for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.
